NKOTBSB @ Dancing With The Stars - Don’t Turn Out The Lights
April 26th, 2011
I am a Backstreet Boys fan.
Supporting everytime Backstreet’s Back
And all the way into the Millennium
Even when things went Black & Blue
And I saw them close this Chapter One
I knew they were Never Gone
Cause they are Unbreakable
So This Is Us, the backstreet fans.
April 20th, 1993, Sea Wolrd Orlando. Five boys took over a stage, having no clue that only a few years later they would take over the world. 18 years later they’re still here and still doing what they love most: Singing and dancing. 18 years later we, their fans, still strongly support and love them, cause they changed our lives, cause they were there when no one else has, cause they’ve grown with us, cause we’ve shared the best and the worst.
18 years later they’re still here and we’re still here going strong and Keeping the Backstreet Pride alive now and forever.
HAPPY 18th ANNIVERSARY TO ALL OF US!!
Hey people!
My name is Débora, I’m from Recife and I went to the Backstreet concert here in my hometown.
There are many ways to describe the concert, I don’t know which word to use. I just know that it was the best day of my life. The day I was waiting for almost 13 years.
AJ and Howie surprised us. Before the show to begin, so so a half an hour, some fans noticed a movement behind the stage. Suddenly, they came to us! AJ gave us a quick bye-bye and crossed to the other side to the stage, Howie as well. Immediately, I called to my sister and said “I saw them! I saw them!” on the phone. XD
After, Baylee came into the stage, he began asking to us if we were ready to the show, so so that. I couldn’t see him from my place, but I could hear his voice. I was so sad that I couldn’t see him… but it was time for the show to begin, right?
Suddenly, they were in front of me, singing “Everybody”. OMG, I was so near them. It was magical. Nick came so many times to the place where I and my friends were, Brian and AJ as well. Howie also came, but not so many as the others. We sang “Happy Birthday”, with blue ballons, to Brian. He asked if it was to him. XD
He said to us “There’s our first time in Recife, right? And I promise you it will not be the last!” I just didn’t believe that my dream was coming true. And know that? I believe him.
By the way, Brian looks like a child. He was kidding all the time, and during “Bye Bye Love”, Nick gave to him a frevo umbrella. Frevo is a rhythm from my hometown, people use coloured umbrellas on Carnival, and dance frevo with them. It was so funny Brian dancing “Bye Bye Love” choreography with a frevo umbrella lol.
Nick was very happy, he laughed a lot with all the energy from the people, and about some very funny things during the show. For example, a crazy fan shot something to AJ’s head, I think it was an underwear, I didn’t see well. Nick laughed so much!
And I swear, I’ve never seen in my entire life a so handsome man like Nick, really. Pics and videos are just pics and videos. He is just “handsome” in pics and videos. But, seeing him up close, everybody was impressed how he is PERFECT. He goes beyond perfection. Everybody commented about that.
“Larger Than Life” choreography still is the same, and with Seven Action Army. OMG. I was crazy, ok. And they sang “If I knew then”! I loved it, because I love this song! The people were crazy with “Show me the meaning”, “I want it that way” and other classic songs. Everybody singing together. A day that I’ll never forget in my life.
Many things happened there, but I would take hours if I post all of them here. XD
Bye bye!

The Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block ended 2010 on a high note with a rollicking New Year’s Eve mashup of their greatest hits in Times Square. But the guys still see room for improvement in 2011.
“I want to act more like an adult,” New Kid Joey McIntyre, 38, who will welcome his third child in May, told PEOPLE about his New Year’s resolutions.
“Being in a rock ‘n’ roll and pop world, it’s very easy to act like a kid. So, my resolution is to really act like an adult. It’s a personal inventory that I’m trying to take.”
Backstreet Boys Nick Carter, 30, and Brian Littrell, 35, will be turning over new leaves of their own. Carter’s resolutions? “Not to talk so much on the phone, and no texting while driving,” he says. “And I just want to stay fit.”
And Littrell? “To read more books and try to make better music.”
The two bands have been rubbing elbows ever since the Backstreet Boys made a surprise appearance at a NKOTB show at Radio City Music Hall last summer. Now, they have a whole North American tour planned together for summer 2011.
“We haven’t really explored everything about each other. We’re taking it slow and just being gentle with each other,” McIntyre says jokingly. “We get along really well. These are the best group of guys. We have a lot of shared experiences, and when we get together, it’s an amazing way to make a living.”
Asked which New Kid is most like which Backstreet Boy, New Kid Donnie Wahlberg, 41, replied: “You’d think it’s Joe and Nick who are the same and Donnie and A.J. [McLean, 32] are the tough ones. But if you are in the band, you know that every person is more than what they are perceived.”
Wahlberg adds: “A.J. is not the bad boy. He’s a sweetheart. And Joe’s not the young one. He’s wise beyond his years. There’s multi layers to everyone, which makes us all different, and that makes it great.”
I love the Boys.
What happened to Brian’s?
